Excellent blue claw crabbing is to be found at many street ends on the bay. Learn to sail, scuba, wave ride at one of the local shops and rent or bring your own equipment. The Township tennis and bayfront facilities are within walking distance, or park in their bayside parking area(beach access tags required to use this facility). Included are a guarded swimming area(shallow water for children), bay boardwalk and shaded pavilion, launching area for sailboards, tennis courts, baseball diamond, and an elevated sightseeing walk on the ocean dune. Just South on Long Beach Island is Beach Haven, with many restaurants, shops and Fantasy Island amusement area with rides, water park, water slide, minature golf, arcade, and much more. Located to the South of Long Beach Island, across the Beach Haven inlet is Atlantic City. Busses and water cruises are available for half or full day trips to the gambling casinos and much more.
